In the town of Loreon walks Kallen Kozuki, most notably having her right arm covered in bandages. As it caused her great misfortune in the past, she found out about the mage consultant who could help her, searching for him in order to avoid losing her arm. Entering the Drunken Spartan, Kallen eventually meets Luciano Bradley, an apparent member of the Knightmare Frame guild, who offers to help her if she first helps him with his show. As she reluctantly agrees, Kallen later gets tricked and about to get bitten by him to lose her powers. However, just in time, she gets saved by a mysterious man who clears up that Luciano is a wanted criminal, whereafter he overwhelms and tortures him both mentally and physically, saving Kallen in the process. Later, once Luciano is arrested, the boy introduces himself as Lelouch Lamperouge, turning out to be the mage consultant Kallen was looking for. Lelouch almost immediately notices the power Kallen's power hidden beneath the bandages of her arm and invites her to join Knightmare Frame, but Kallen denies. However, after recalling her painful past and her brother's last will, she joins the guild in the end.
